Your design.
Our drawings.
Your client.
For Calgary interior designers and architects: a millwork specialist that works behind your firm name. We draft to AWI standards in AutoCAD or Revit, release files under your title block, and never appear in your client's eyeline. Trade collaboration pricing for ongoing partnerships.

Better drawings,
fewer hours,
cleaner billing.
Millwork drafting is detail-heavy and tool-specific. Doing it in-house at a designer or architect's hourly rate burns budget and slows the rest of the project. Outsourcing returns hours to higher-value work — and produces deeper drawings.
Deeper drawings, faster turnaround
Millwork is our only practice. Drawings come out of Mozaik and AutoCAD with depth and precision that takes a general design firm twice as long to produce — because they're drafting from scratch each time, not from a workflow that runs every day.
Predictable cost line item
Fixed project fee replaces a variable internal hourly burn. You quote your client a margin on the millwork portion; we deliver to that line item. No drafter going over budget on a complex section detail.
Specialised tools your firm doesn't need to license
Mozaik subscriptions, Enscape licences, AutoCAD seats — these cost money and require time to learn. We carry the tool stack; you get the output.
Capacity that scales with your project flow
Busy season hits and you don't need to hire a junior drafter for three months. Slow month and you're not paying salary for empty capacity. Project-based engagement matches project-based revenue.
We work
behind your name.
Standard trade collaboration: white-label delivery, fixed-fee projects, behind-the-scenes execution. Your client sees your firm; we sign no NDA, deliver to you, invoice you.
You send the concept work
Schematic drawings, finish selections, hardware preferences, room dimensions, and any specific construction methods. Hand sketches are fine. CAD or PDF make the work faster.
We quote and schedule
Fixed fee, fixed timeline, written scope. Trade pricing applied automatically for established partners. Standard turnaround 5—10 business days for single-room work; longer for multi-room or coordinated packages.
We draft to your conventions
Title block, sheet numbering, layer naming, revision format — matched to your firm's standards. AWI Quality Standards Illustrated as the base; adapted to your overlay.
Drawings released to you
Native files (DWG, RVT, Mozaik) and PDF print set delivered to your project folder. Your sheet, your title block, your firm name. We're invisible to your client.
Revisions and RFIs
Two revision rounds included. Additional revisions billed hourly. We handle cabinet shop RFIs during fabrication through you — we don't contact your client directly without your invitation.
We adapt to
your firm.
Every firm has conventions. Layer naming, title block format, sheet numbering, revision schedule structure. Tell us yours; we'll match them. Drawings drop into your project deliverable without translation.
AWI Quality Standards
Default formatting standard. Title block, sheet index, dimension strings, hardware schedule, section keys. Recognised by every qualified Calgary cabinet shop.
Custom title blocks
We accept your firm's title block template and apply it to all sheets. Sheet numbering matches your project's overall set.
Layer conventions
Standard AIA layer naming as default. Custom layer conventions accepted — send us your standard and we'll use it.
Revision schedules
Revision clouds, delta markers, revision notes — formatted per your firm's convention. Issued-for-review and issued-for-construction stamps applied per your release process.
File delivery
Native DWG, RVT, or Mozaik delivered to your project folder structure. PDF print sets at 24"×36" or 11"×17" — whichever your firm uses.
CAD/Revit compatibility
AutoCAD 2018+ and Revit 2024+ files released by default. Older version compatibility available on request — flag in the discovery call.

Questions from
Calgary designers.
How do we keep the engagement white-label?
Drawings released under your firm's title block and sheet numbering. You introduce your client to your team — Planar is not mentioned. RFIs during fabrication flow through you, not direct to us. We're a back-of-house resource; your client experience is yours to design.
What qualifies for trade pricing?
Two things. First, we need to see ongoing project flow — not just one project. Second, a working agreement that we're your default millwork drafting resource for those projects. We're not looking to be one of three drafters competing on every job; trade pricing reflects partnership.
Can you draft to my firm's exact layer standards?
Yes. Send us your firm's CAD standards document or a sample drawing demonstrating your conventions. We'll match exactly — layer names, line weights, hatch patterns, text styles, dimension styles. The drawings won't look different from your own team's.
Do you do 3D rendering for client presentations?
Yes — SketchUp + Enscape rendering available as an add-on. Common for designer engagements where the finish-presentation package needs photoreal renderings of millwork. Pricing depends on render count and complexity; typically $400—$1,200 per scene.
What happens if my client wants to talk directly to Planar?
We'll respect your client relationship by default — we don't reach out, we don't accept inbound contact, we don't book calls. If your client specifically wants a millwork-technical conversation and you're comfortable making the introduction, we're happy to join a call with you in the room. Your call, your terms.
Can you bill my firm or directly to the client?
Both work. Most designer engagements have us billing the firm — keeps the relationship clean and the trade rate visible internally. Some firms prefer direct-to-client billing with their own markup applied. Either arrangement is fine.
What about confidentiality and project NDAs?
Project NDAs accepted. We don't publish or reference designer-engagement projects without explicit written permission. Default position is invisibility — projects we've drafted for trade partners don't appear in our portfolio.
